Project description: located in Xiaoliang Mountain of Linhai Economic Development Zone, a key municipal engineering project covering a land area of 200,000 square metres and treating 120,000 tons of sewage daily.
Investment: US$12 million.
Co-operational form: co-operation.
2. Project name: Christmas Festival Lights -- UL Standard Power Controllers and switches.
Project description: projects in the production of Christmas festival lights and UL standard power controllers and switches which have an export potential of US$160 million.
Co-operational form: solely funded enterprises or joint ventures.
3. Project name: Technical Updating of Mid and High Grade Sunglasses.
Project description: updating the technique and equipments of Yingchang Glasses Industry Co Ltd whose Langmengte Sunglasses are listed among the Famous and Excellent Products in China and have a large market share in Beijing.
Investment: US$2 million (US$1 million from overseas partners).
Co-operational form: joint venture.
4. Project name: Processing of Wonder Stones.
Project description: expansion of the processing capacity of Fuhao Wonder Stone Art Co Ltd which was listed in the Spark Plans by the State Science and Technology Commission.
Investment: US$1 million (US$500,000 from overseas partners).
Co-operational form: joint venture.
5. Project name: Production Line of Disposable Medical Appliances.
Project description: expansion and updating of a production line of disposable medical appliances of Linhai Medical Appliance Works which covers an area of 36,000 square metres and possesses a strong force of technical personnel.
Investment: US$5 million (US$3 million from overseas partners).
Co-operational form: joint venture.
6. Project name: Further Processing of Glucosamine , Pyruvic Acid and Hormone Products.
Project description: expansion of the further processing capacity of Taizhou Xingye Chemical Plant whose production of glucosamine is among the biggest in China. Pyruvic acid is a new product in Zhejiang Province.
Investment: US$800,000 (US$400,000 from overseas partners).
Co-operational form: joint venture.
7. Project name: Development of Sea-Mountain Park of Nanmenkeng.
Project description: situated on the shore of the East China Sea and featuring coral reefs, distinctive hills and stones, waterfalls, blue sea, golden beach and prehistoric relics, Sea-Mountain Park is a project of great potential.
Investment: US$2 million.
Co-operational form: solely foreign funded enterprise or joint venture.
8. Project name: Reconstruction of the Ancient Longxing Temple.
Project description: situated in the lee of the Jinzi Mountain and on the bank of the Linjiang River and neighbouring Thousand-Buddha Tower, the ancient Longxing Temple (originally called Kaiyuan Temple and built around 707-710AD) is to be reconstructed. The project is to cover a planned area of 6,800 square metres and a building area of 2,200 square metres.
Investment: US$5 million.
Co-operational form: solely foreign funded or joint venture.
9. Project name: Further Processing of Vegetables.
Project description: technical updating of Shangpan Vegetable Industry Base which covers a planting area of 1,333 hectares. The planned output is 7,000 tons of quick frozen vegetables and 6,000 tons of fresh vegetables annually and the yearly income of sales is estimated at 85 million yuan (US$10.2 million).
Investment: US$3.5 million (US$2 million from overseas partners).
Co-operational form: joint venture.
10. Project name: China Geely Motor City.
Project description: development of mini-cars, light buses and mini-cabs for the Geely Group. The planned output is 100,000 motorcars and 100,000 engines per year.
Investment: US$240 million (US$80 million from overseas partners).
Co-operational form: joint venture
11. Project name: Chonghemen Central Square.
Project description: located at the intersection of major commercial streets -- Jinshan Road, Huipu Road, Donghu Road and Linxian Road-- the project will cover 84,000 square metres, of which 15,800 square metres are for commercial use, 14,600 square metres are for cultural use and 25,600 square metres will be used for the square itself.
Co-operational form: co-operation or joint venture.
12. Project name: Second Stage Project of Reclaiming Land from the Shallows in Dong Port.
Project description: Following completion of the first stage project -- a direct 10KV power transmission network, a highway and the water supply from the Niutoushan Reservoir -- the second stage is to build a dam of 3,245 metres with a water-draining gate. Some 220 hectares of arable land and 60 hectares of fishery farm will be reclaimed.
Investment: US$3 million (50 per cent from overseas partners).
Co-operational form: joint venture.
13. Project name: Otter Rabbit Enterprise.
Project description: technical upgrading and expansion of the production of the Zhedong Otter Rabbit Development Co Ltd which plans to turn out 40,000 breeding rabbits, 500,000 rabbits for sale and realize a gross income of 100 million yuan (US$12 million) and a net profit of 25 million yuan (US$3 million).
Investment: 21 million yuan (US$2.5 million).
Co-operational form: co-operation (overseas partners providing new technologies and techniques for otter rabbit production and processing), or joint venture (overseas partners investing US$800,000).
14. Project name: Edible Bamboo Shoots Enterprise.
Project description: technical updating of the bamboo shoots production, processing, storing and transportation of Linhai Edible Bamboo Shoots Technological Development Corporation which plans to produce 2,300 tons fresh bamboo shoots and realize an output value of 9.2 million yuan (US$1.1 million) and a profit of 3 million yuan (US$361,000).
Investment:US$1.2 million (US$500,000 from overseas partners).
Co-operational form: joint venture.
15. Project name: Taozhu Scenic Area.
Project description: projects including the reconstruction of the ancient city wall, and development of scenic spots, a bathing beach and a commercial street for the Taozhu Scenic Area.
Investment: US$4 million.
Co-operational form: solely funded enterprise, joint venture or co-operation.
16. Project name: Niutoushan Reservoir Scenic Area.
Project description: Further development of the Niutoushan Reservoir Scenic Area, which consists of a reservoir of 1,000 hectares, green hills and mountains and holiday villas.
Co-operational form: co-operation or joint venture.
17. Project name: Sanfeng Scenic Area.
Project description: Based on the thousand-year Sanfeng Temple, a scenic area of 670,000 square metres will be developed. The project will be divided into a temple section, recreation section, villa section and sightseeing section.
Investment: US$500,000 from overseas partners.
Co-operational form: joint venture.
18. Project name: Technical Updating of the Production of Eralapril Maleate.
Project description: the project is to upgrade the production of Zhejiang Huahai Chemical Pharmaceutical Co Ltd, enlarge its output of eralapril maleate to 60 tons and realize an output value of 210 million yuan (US$25 million) and a profit of 31.5 million yuan (US$3.8 million) per year.
Investment:US$5.1 million (US$3 million from overseas partners).
Co-operational form: joint venture.
19.Project name: Expansion of the Production of Painted Aluminium Materials.
Project description: Zhejiang Linya Group is to expand its production of painted aluminium materials from 2,000 tons to 8,000 tons per year.
Investment: US$3 million (US$1 million from overseas partners).
Co-operational form: joint venture.
20. Project name: Importing the Technology of Hydraulic Moment Convertors.
Project description: Linhai Machinery Plant is to expand its annual production to 1,000 sets by importing the technology of hydraulic moment converters.
Co-operational form: compensation trade or co-operation with the following firms: CK Corporation, ZF Corporation, Voith Corporation and Twindesk Corporation from Germany, Caterpillar Corporation from the US and Komatsu Manufacturing Plant from Japan.
