Arthritis and joint pain are among the most debilitating conditions known to man. On this web site you will find more and better information about this condition than any other web site on the planet. It is possible that you will find more information here than hundreds of other web sites combined.
Arthritis? My philosophical view of that is that it is a "deposit disease" -- that is, the body is "depositing" things in the joints that cause irritation, inflammation and deterioration.
This may sound strange to you, but the "deposits" are related to calcium being deposited in the joint areas, the impeding of either lymph or blood, irritation, swelling then the pain.
I don't think many people trying to study arthritis have realized that there is a mental situation going on -- certainly nothing any psychiatrist would understand since they have no clue as to a definition of "mind."
The person with arthritis will often be found to have had endocrine failure, and a deteriorated thyroid. The estrogen and androgen glands are relatively inactive. The glands which control the calcium in the body and the amount of calcium in the blood stream are generally inactive.
Little is really understood by medicine of the endocrine system. It is very much affected by mental causes. The endocrine system, then, causes changes in other parts of the physical system and THESE changes are often seen as cause when, in truth, they are mere symptoms -- the classic mistake of most medicine -- to confuse cause and effect.
Restrictions in flow (blood usually) occur -- it can be found, then, that these restrictions take place in the body in areas where that had been some previous injury.
It is the prior injury, possibly many many years earlier, that is held in place, mentally, and this mental "holding" is what leads to the reduced circulation in an area. You can spot this if you gently inquire of a person with, say, pain in the knee, what earlier injuries may have occurred in the knee. You might even find that the person recalls causing ANOTHER person some pain in his knee. Either way the "incident" had a physical universe reality, but now has a "mental holding" of the thought or experience, and it is this "holding" that now affects things in present time.
Is this too strange for you?
Arthritis, then, is a deposit of calcium, or other mineral, in an area which has been restricted by an old injury. The old injury is, first, held in place mentally, and that "holding" causes the physical phenomenon.
(It could well be that heart disease, itself, has a similar explanation. I've already written the ground-breaking data about WHERE the calcium deposit is that causes heart disease. It is NOT where the cardiologist says that it is. My explanation is HERE. My explanation on heart disease does NOT get into the possible mental causation which is covered here, but I believe that this type of mental causation also plays the dominant role in heart disease -- more so than the "free radical/heavy metal concept" which I have become so famous for. The future holds some exciting changes in health care as this is better understood!)
There is an emotional tone related to the phenomenon of mental "holding."
The first emotional tone would be one of apathy -- deposits occur easily in such a person.
Another emotional tone that brings on deposits is grief -- certainly many people are chronically griefy.
Strangely, there are many people who are "angry all the time" whether they exhibit very dramatic/active anger, or quite/hidden anger -- such people are subject to deposit problems.
The emotional tone comes first -- the deposits come after. It is this sequence which is seldom seen -- people can find and see the deposits, but generally then look for a physical explanation when, in truth, there is an emotional condition and a "mental holding of the incident of injury" that is the precedent.
Once the deposits, irritation, swelling, inflammation become greatly pronounced the deterioration of bone gets started -- at this point there is little left to be done that I know of -- other than joint replacement by surgery.

One of the most debilitating problems man encounters -- it usually doesn't kill, but it sure cripples.

Some many months ago I decided to devote some time to researching this subject. I had already published thousands of pages on my web sites -- mostly on the subject of heart disease.
I started my research in relative ignorance of what "arthritis" really is and what drugs or natural remedies were generally in use. One discovery along the way was how helpful a proper diet can be. Click here to read about the Karl Loren Diet.
This web site represents the fruits of my research -- but the research was halted for several reasons, and I'll take a minute to explain this.
Generally I do research in areas where I can then come up with some commercial product to take advantage of what I have learned.
I got to that point on that web site, and then discovered that the drug approach was terribly barbaric. Apparently doctors don't have the slightest clue as to how to prevent or handle arthritis.
In the same boat is "Fibromyalgia" and perhaps several other fancy names for "pain."
The drugs that are usually prescribed seemed to me, at least, to have such bad side effects that I would try anything else first.
Then, after many hours of research, and placing information on the web site about what I found, I realized that almost all the "natural" approaches included three substances:
MSM = Methyl Sulfonyl Methane
Glucosamine
and
Chondroitin Sulfate (Complex)
You'll find some of these substances being offered on the web as single substances, and I found the price (converted to "per kilogram" rates) to vary all over the lot. It seemed strange to me that one company would be selling Glucosamine, for instance, at $700 per KG (in capsules, of course) while another source offered them at $100 per KG. That type of information is on my web site!
Having decided that these three substances might represent a good combination of materials I might put into a capsule, I then started looking for sources of supply. While it was easy to find factories that would sell to me, I found that my costs were higher than seemed right. Apparently I just hadn't found the "right" source.
During this search I began to see that MSM might be better than the other two substances, and more importantly, it was cheaper.
So, if you were going to try some "natural remedy" you might as well start out with ONE of these three items -- start with the one which was the least expensive -- MSM.
If that didn't work for you, then spend more money and get one or more of the others, or some other combination of ingredients.
Of course before I started all this research I already had an exclusive license to represent a very large manufacturer of MSM, and knew a lot about it. I had also established selling prices for MSM (in bulk) so much lower than any other place on the web that I decided to just concentrate on MSM as my answer to arthritis.
That doesn't mean that glucosamine is not worth trying, just that as a commercial activity I was going to concentrate on MSM.
